kids. furry, but mine

hmmm, what to post? i told myself i'd go to bed early because i've had one day off in almost two weeks, i started running again, and i'm exhausted. instead, i've been playing with photobooth and taking pictures of my children, who were less than amused.

here's one of each:

i've worked a lot lately, and have been out of the house, so i wanted to spend some time with them, and part of that includes hostage-style photography.

despite the chaos and insanity that grayson brings to my life, and the fact that phoenix sometimes acts like he's taking a leisurely stroll when it's pouring down rain and i just want him to pee, i couldn't live without them.

phoenix is the best dog ever; loyal, smart, mellow, patient, and he cuddles when i'm sick, upset, or he's missed me. he doesn't eat his brother's food, he tells me when he needs to go outside, and he does this really cute jump in the air (with his paws pointed) when he wants a cookie.

grayson is a little terror, growing into a huge one, but he's also very sweet, affectionate, and smart as hell. he also had his balcony privileges revoked this evening when i saw him halfway over the wall. i live on the third floor, and it's a long way down.

i wouldn't know what to do without both of them. they keep me company, keep me entertained, and keep me active when i just want to sit and mope. i may complain about them sometimes, but i love them so much and can't explain how much they add to my life. i never feel like i'm alone when they're around, and i feel a void even when phoenix goes to the groomer's.

they are my world. : )
